Naturalistic Paganism’s Spectral Challenge – Part Four: A Ritual of Encounter by Émile Wayne

Editors note – this post is the destination of three posts leading us in our encounter with our intersectionality and the specters that hold it.  The other three are here, here, and here.

This ritual is intended to be the culmination of a much longer process of discussion and relationship building within a diverse, multi-storied community. As with all good rituals, its primary participants should rehearse many times before its performance. Non-participant attendees may either observe or participate as the Chorus, so long as they are provided with a script and are willing to follow along. Read More

Happy Spring Equitherm!

Celebrations

Life!  We celebrate life today, especially life’s growth and evolutionary diversification.   John Halstead, John Beckett, and others have posted on their blogs about how Paganism is evolving and changing.  Along those lines, we’ll have a special announcement later today.  Perfect for Beltane!  What will it be?

Some of the ways many of us are celebrating were published a few weeks ago, and at least for my family, our CUUPS Beltane ritual will be a few days later due to rainstorms here.  Beltane also reminds us of the symmetry of life and death, – as Glenys does here.   And did you see the Edinburgh Beltane Fire Festival  Wow – 12,000 people celebrating Beltane!  I’d love to make it to that some year.  For some of us, the celebrations will be later this week – the actual midpoint between the Equinox and the Solstice is May 5th.  However you are celebrating, may your be celebration be blessed.

This is an updated version of our annual Spring Equitherm post.
