Celebrations
Life! We celebrate life today, especially life’s constant growth.
Some of the ways many of us are celebrating were published a few weeks ago, and at least for my family, our CUUPS Beltane ritual is coming up this weekend. Beltane also reminds us of the symmetry of life and death, – as Glenys does here. And did you see the 2019 lineup for the Edinburgh Beltane Fire Festival? Wow – 12,000 people celebrating Beltane! I’d love to make it to that some year. It’s definitely on my list of sacred pilgrimages! For some of us, the celebrations will be later this week – the actual midpoint between the Equinox and the Solstice is May 5th. However you are celebrating, may your celebration be blessed.
This is an updated version of our annual Spring Equitherm post. Equitherm? What’s that? Here is a description.
It was a gorgeous Beltane weekend in the Columbia River Gorge this year. After the coldest February-March period in a century, all the wildlife abruptly burst upon the scene in April.
Our grove in White Salmon enjoyed all the sense of fertility in the air. You could really sense the creative energy soaring up in people’s hearts this year.
Side note: The nights were very chilly, almost like a springtime version of “frost on the pumpkin”.
Cool! Thanks for sharing!
