WELCOME WITCHES AND CO.
This is my first blog post on this new online Space that I am patiently creating. It was an idea I had been incubating for some time now but finally felt courageous enough to release into the wild and wonderful Internets recently. It’s been a journey just completing (most of) the steps to get to this place, this page, and even now, if I’m being honest, my fingertips are quivering.
Nerves aside, I thought what better time to launch the inaugural post of my online Space than alongside the inaugural conference of A Witch Con (2021)? The timing is also auspicious as today is the waxing moon, a time for new beginnings, initiations, innovation, and taking First Steps as I conceptualize it. Magical, indeed.
The remaining four Atheopagan principles are discussed, along with the Sabbat of Lughnasadh, (also referred to as “Dimming”). Both relationships and our view of human bodies can be very different in Pagan communities than in wider society. And how can we make sacred space? Is it important? All that, and more, are in the recent THE WONDER podcasts! They are on the page here.
Tonight’s the night!! The real time meteor flux data shows that the peak is starting (see graph above). Here’s the link. https://meteorflux.org/rt#PER
You can see how clear it will be every hour where you are at this site. Simply zoom into the map to find a good viewing spot near you (use the light pollution map down in the post below), and pick the station from this map. https://www.cleardarksky.com/csk/prov/all_charts_map.html
Have fun!!

Is this the first Pagan conference explicitly focused on non-theistic Pagans? Along with the Atheopagan Suntree Retreat, these two were both announced this year, with no specifically non-theist conventions before them that I know of! The A Witch Con is just a few days away, so Register now!
My sons a few days ago, as we planned for this year’s Perseid Meteor trip:
K: Next year the Moon will prevent our trip, but the Moon is perfect this year, it could be an awesome show – maybe like the year we watched by Lake Michigan!
R: Yeah, and the bulldozer we saw there was kinda weird.
K: No, not then. That show was good, but nothing like the Lake Michigan year.
R: But that was a lot of meteors!
K: Yes. It was cool, but not as many meteors as the Lake Michigan year…..
