Naturalistic Paganism
Ready to grow your spiritual practice in 2022? As mentioned earlier, the new year is a great time to start or expand your Naturalistic Pagan practice. Wouldn’t it be helpful to have daily encouragement and Pagan input? You can, with Circle Sanctuary’s daily Pagan podcasts!
But are these all naturalistic, with no supernatural?
No, they have a mix of general Pagan topics. Some will be effectively naturalistic, while others will have plenty of supernatural, and many will be somewhere in between. As many of us already do regularly, seeing deities as metaphors can be helpful, and for some, this makes it good to have deities included. A purely Naturalistic Pagan podcast is available with The Wonder (and is very highly recommended!!). Most practices work the same or are very similar whether naturalist or not, anyway. Circle Sanctuary is one of several Pagan communities in the United States, and in that they are doing so much good, every day! Plus, Circle Sanctuary is explicitly welcoming to Naturalistic Pagans as part of our wider Pagan community, and I’ve personally heard the same welcoming stance from Selena Fox herself.

I had the honor and good fortune to join in a ritual by Circle Sanctuary and led by Selena Fox at Pantheacon in 2020 (the last Pantheacon!). In her opening invocation, Selena Fox welcomed all Pagans, “who may worship any deity or none”. Wow, nice to hear us included without even asking! How often does that happen? Here I am with Selena Fox (that’s my Cosmala that I’m wearing).
