The Black Nonbelievers SeaCon 2025 is launching this November! Now is registration time. Check out the lineup below! There will be many brave voices to hear. As mentioned for the interview with Mandisa Thomas, willingly deciding to add membership in one of the most hated groups in America is a big decision (so consider helping them out – link here. I just donated, it works).
But first, here’s a video from Bri the Womannequin – what an experience! I was really surprised to hear how her story paralleled mine in places. Such as at around 10:00 to 13:00, she has the same logical issues that initially were the first step in my escape as well. And I thought that this was not usually the case – that humans worked mostly emotionally and that logical things like these weren’t usually the way that people started to see the way out (and then we have more logical issues brought up when she discusses her cousin, towards the end). Then Cosmos at ~20:00! Me too – well, sort of. It was the original, 1980 Cosmos for me, not the new remake by Neil DeGrasse Tyson (which is also excellent of course). I didn’t have nearly as bad an experience with Hell Terror, but it’s pretty standard in a lot of people, because of course that’s how it’s expected to work in the first place. And, what bravery from Bri to put this out there – especially given her community. How much of this was the same for you?
For those in the black community, here’s a chance to meet up with others who have had similar experiences.
