Back in 2021, when COVID was only starting to make some kind of sense, and people around the world were looking for ways to connect, a group of witches in an atheist witch group on FB decided to put on something awesome. 
And back in 2021, we spotted a Friday the 13th and thought wouldn’t that be a hoot to have our first Con on such a date! It happened to be in August, planting our Anniversary in the month named for the Latin word augere, meaning “to increase”, and transformed into Augustus meaning “esteemed” or “venerable” – and isn’t a gathering of witches all of those and more?
